Bridlington’s Di Levitt is heading to Australia for Easter - but it will be more than just a holiday.
She has been chosen for the England over 55s squad for the Hockey Masters World Cup in Canberra
“I am very proud and excited about going,” said the Martongate School deputy headteacher.
“The quality and depth in numbers of players in my age group is amazing. Next year will be my last in the over 55s and it would be great to be double World Cup and European gold medallist before I move up.
“I am not sure how many teams will be there but there are five age group competitions. I know that Australia, New Zealand and Wales will be some of our opposition.”
