Wheatley Hills U17 31 Bridlington U17 18

Two teams, close in all departments, came together in Doncaster, so it was always going to be a close game.

Bridlington started the stronger putting massive pressure on Wheatley Hills, resulting in Bridlington’s Taylah Muru-King kicking two penalties.

Wheatley then came to life and began their scoring with an unconverted try.

Bridlington defence was awesome and contained counter after counter of attack keeping them 6-5 ahead at half time.

Unfortunately a soft period of play allowed Wheatelley to score two easy tries against the run of play.

Bridlington’s heads, as usual, were always held high.

They came back in a fantastic last 15 minutes showing the superb team they have grown to be.

Matty Faulkner and Danny McIntosh both scored tries. Muru-King, in great kicking form, added two conversions.
