Bridlington Swimming Club’s Tom King reigned supreme at the Northern Series Triathlon at Bishop Burton College.
King, who was competing in the under-17 age group, took first place overall and also recorded the best run and best swim times.
In very hot conditions, he scored 844 in the shooting section, 938 points from the run and collected 1099 in the swim.
His total of 2,881 was good enough to beat two of his under-19 rivals as well, to give him confidence ahead of stepping up next year. Harry Richardson was second, behind King, with Christopher Cook third.
