The Bass North Trophy was an aggregate pairs medal, probably the most difficult of team competitions, and not surprisingly the weather played its part with some strong winds.
It was the father and son pair of Neil and Jake Hunt who took the trophy with a very creditable combined score of 148 or four-over-par.
Having only played in a handful of competitions this year this was a particularly fine performance.
Just one shot behind was the experienced pairing of Brian Isham and Jim Kirby. Third was taken by John Lamont and Peter McBride and fourth were Steve Edmund and Paul Martin.
Special memtion should also go to Matt Whitehead who carded two twos on the day.#
1st: Neil Hunt and Jake Hunt 148
2nd: Brian Isham and Jim Kirby 149
3rd: John Lamont and Peter McBride 150
4th: Steve Edmund and Paul Martin 150
Twos club: Robert Mallinson, Nick Belt, Nigel Connell, Peter Williams, Matt Whitehead (2), Lee Avison and Paul Portlock.
