This was the last match before Christmas but Goole were not in the mood for giving out presents. It was however a good game of rugby, not reflected in the scoreline.

Loose defending by Bridlington created too many gaps which allowed Goole to score too easily, particularly in the first half. They ran in three tries before a strong push from the pack gave Matty Faulkner an opportunity to score and Taylah Muru King converted.

The second half saw Bridlington, putting in lots of effort, and they were deservedly rewarded with a Kyle Turner try. Again, King converted.

The Bridlington pack dominated with great rucking but could not capitalise in open play. Brandon Smith’s tireless enthusiasm earned him man of the match.

Completing the team: Conor Williamson, Tom Astle, Aaron Barker, Callum Sanderson, Otis Floyd, Jordan McGuire, Danny McIntosh, Louis Cunliffe, Jake Cooper, Ben Wollerton, Joe Emmerson.
