Bridlington Swimming Club has presented a new trophy, given in memory of a long-standing coach, for the first time.

Ten-year-old Niamh Hall is the first winner of the Margaret Greenall Trophy, a reward for her ‘overall achievement’.

The club received the trophy from Margaret’s family following her death earlier this year.

It has decided to present the trophy every quarter to a swimmer from its teaching group and coaches will decide who should receive the award and this can be for a variety of reasons, including effort, behaviour, attendance and improvement.
