Brompton brothers Harrison and Max both played at Brampton Heath Golf Club Northampton in the UK Kids National grand final on Saturday, having qualified last month in Leeds.
With a strong field from all the other regional qualifiers, Harrison played well, posting a great score finishing fifth in his age group, only three shots off the lead,
Max didn’t play to his best but managed to dig in with a strong finish to the round. This effort put him in third place, also finishing only three shots off the lead.
This top three finish means Max has now qualified to take part in the prestigious US Kids European Championships held in Scotland next year.
Dad Chris said: “Both boys loved the course with some very tricky greens and have gained even more experience of competing against some fantastic young talent.
“Max is looking forward to the European Championship. Both boys have been playing fantastic golf this summer and we are very proud of them.”
