Bridlington will face Pontefract on the opening day of the Yorkshire One season for the third successive year.

Having beaten the West Yorkshire side at home to kick off their past two campaigns, and scoring more than 40 points on both occasions, Bridlington will travel to Moor Lane on September 7.

York are the first visitors to Dukes Park the following Saturday, and Bridlington will have to wait to wait to see where they head after that, because the make up of the league has not been finalised.

Four of the first six games are away from home, including a trip to derby rivals Scarborough at the end of September.

The return fixture is on January 11, although there is no derby with Driffield this season, after they gained promotion.

New teams include Doncaster Phoenix and Selby.who came up from Yorkshire Two, and Selby who came down from North East One.

Bridlington finished sixth last season and enjoyed a trip to Twickenham in the National Intermediate Cup final.
