After a busy time off the pitch at Dukes Park during the summer, Bridlington RUFC return to action this weekend.
They play their first pre-season friendly on Saturday, when they welcome Wath Upon Dearne.
Their opponents played alongside Bridlington in Yorkshire One in 2014/15 but finished bottom and had to settle for sixth spot in their first season back in Yorkshire Two.
Bridlington have brought Josh Thundercliffe back to Dukes Park and head coach Paul Cook has also added Ben Dearing, who can play at fly-half or full-back, to his squad.
Last season’s player of the year Matiu Welch landed back in the UK on Tuesday and will rejoin the team for Saturday.
Kick off is at 2.30pm.
Bridlington will play North One East outfit Westoe in another friendly on the following Saturday, before the competitive action begins on Saturday, August 27 with a Yorkshire Shield match at home to Heath.
