Wykeham closed in on the Greenwood Hire Derwent Valley Junior League Under-16 title when they beat Pickering by four wickets.

Pickering were slowed to 44-9 by Lewis Eustace (4-4) and Ben Norman (2-7).

Tom Dawson’s 5-11 gave Wykeham some nervy moments, but Tom Poor’s 15 and Norman’s 12 saw them over the line.

Flixton kept the pressure on thanks to an impressive all-round display from Elliot Hatton, which helped them to a seven-wicket win against Driffield.

Hatton took 3-10, linked with Reece Wilson’s 3-14, as Driffield closed on 92-8.

He then struck 32, which was added to by Marley Ward’s unbeaten 20 as Flixton wrapped up the job.

Pickering B defeated Duncombe Park by five wickets.

Owen Cowton’s 30 retired, along with 26 from Ryan Dawson took Park to 88-5, but M Ridley’s 32 saw the Pikes home.

Edward Hopper’s 25 and 3-6 carried Scarborough to a nine-wicket win in the Under-13 Zone One, which pushed them to joint-top with their opponents Sewerby.

Seamer leapt up to fourth following their win against third-placed Driffield.

Archie Graham and Matty Walters took Seamer to 111-3.

Walters then took 3-25 to make sure Driffield dropped six runs short.

In Zone Two, Max Lane (25) and Tom Owen (19) made sure Wykeham remained joint-top after they were too good for Mulgrave by 13 runs.

Fellow leaders Pickering had an easier time against Ebberston, with George Baldwin’s 3-6 and Harry Edwards’ 2-2 guiding them to a 10-wicket win.

Pickering have won the title in the Under-11 Zone Two following their win against Kirkbymoorside.

In Zone One, Sewerby’s Isaac Coates put the pressure on leaders Driffield with an outstanding performance in the 71-run win.

Coates hit an unbeaten 21 and then took 5-7 including a hat-trick to make sure of victory.
