Sewerby U15 were well beaten when Forge Valley visited the clifftop on Sunday morning for a Derwent Valley Junior League Division B game.

Sam Flowerdew took 3-39 as the visitors batted first, but Fletcherby and Beck both retired on 31 and Reddish added 27, as they amassed 150/5.

The reply never got started and Sewerby were all out for just 32.

In Division A, Bridlington made 100/7 against Flixton, with Callum Battams and Louis Beckett both retiring as they passed 30.

Harris was Flixton’s best bowler with 3-17 but his team-mates fell just short when they batted. Dixon (30 retired) and Ward (26) were the main contributors as they reached 92/5.

Bridlington U13s were awarded their cup game against Kirbymoorside and will face Cayton or Scarborough in next Wednesday’s semi-final.

The club’s U11s were beaten at Flixton by 53 runs, despite making 223.
