We’ve picked our first Team Of The Week, based on performances by players in the Driffield League, East Riding County League and cup competitions.

In goal is Scott Lampett, who made a number of fine saves to help Bridlington Snooker Centre hold on to a 2-1 win over Flamborough 2nds.

His team-mate James Lawton is in the back four, alongside John Shaw, who was Coachman’s star man in the cup defeat at Settrington Reserves, and Lee Warters of Flamborough 1sts.

Also in the back line is Bridlington Rovers’ Tom Broadbent who had an eventful game against Forester 2nds, scoring a hat-trick and giving away a penalty.

The midfield trio is Connor Ashby of Stirling Wanderers, Bridlington Town Reserves’ Tom Benninger and Sports Club’s Jacob Brown.

The front three is packed with goals, having netted nine between them this week.

Rovers’ Ben Marshall got a hat-trick on Saturday, new signing Andy Norfolk scored four in two games for Bridlington Town and Jake Day grabbed a double for Bridlington Sports Club County at St George’s.

There is no Junior Team of the Week because so many games were called off on Sunday.
