Bridlington Town Reserves 5

Reckitts Reserves 1

East Riding County League

FOLLOWING last week’s poor performance, Bridlington Town Reserves were looking to bounce back against a Reckitts team who were bottom of the league.

The game was fairly even for the first 20 minutes and with Ollie West playing in the Northern League with Marske United, Nick Tudor was drafted in to help organise what turned out to be probably the Reserves best performance at the back this season.

Rob Scott and Danny Bemrose were solid at the centre along with Johnny Morritt and Sam Hanson as full backs.

Against the run of play, Reckitts were awarded a rather harsh penalty. Reckitts took the lead and, at 1-0 down, the Reserves showed great character to get back in the game.

In the last five minutes of the half, Josh Christlow and Jon Richardson scored two quick goals for the Reserves to put them 2-1 up at the break.

The second half was dominated by the Reserves with further goals from Richardson, Anthony Firth and a long range cracker from Jack Hudson-Bowe.

Richardson, Bemrose, Hudson-Bowe, Scott and Danny Anderson were outstanding for the Reserves but the win resulted from an excellent overall team performance.
