Town discover FA Cup opponents

Bridlington Town kick off with an away tie in next season’s FA Cup.

Town travel to Silsden, who finished 18th in the North West Counties League last season, on August 17 in the Extra Preliminary Round.

If they win there, they face a trip to NCEL league rivals Thackley or Northern League outfit Guisborough Town two weeks later. The Seasiders completed the double of Thackley last season, including a 5-2 win on the final day of the season, while Guisborough ended up 11th in the Northern League.

The winners of that tie then host either Goole, Bishop Auckland or Tadcaster Athletic on September 14 in the First Qualifying Round.

Town have a bye into the first round proper of the FA Vase.
