Town manager Gary Allanson is hoping to bring in two or three new signings to bolster his threadbare squad.
But he was full of priase for the way his makeshift side rallied to pick up the points after a long trip to Retford United.
Allanson, who has already brought in paul Wray from brigg Town for his second spell with the Seasiders, said: “It was a very difficult game on paper for us considering we had Allanson, Jenkinson and Duka all missing, plus we still have Hogg, Clarkson, Reeson all injured.
“We also had Tom Fleming pull his hamstring in the warm up so was only half fit, put all that together with an awful heavy pitch and swirling wind everything was set up for another loss.
“But as I have said many times previously I trust these players and have every confidence in them and even though we had eight players 22 or under, they showed great character and everyone kept their discipline and worked really hard and we were 3-0 up by half time.
“I can’t praise the players enough for the attitude and special praise to Craig Hogg, who isn’t fit but travelled all the way to sit on the bench for us knowing he would only get five or 10 minutes and to Ash Allanson, who was there to support the players and have great input and encouragement. That shows how much they love the club.
“Injuries and suspensions are now kicking in so we are looking to integrate some of the reserves who came training last week and we are looking to sign two or three other players to bolster the squad.”
