Bridlington Town’s Reserves travelled to Goole United with a bare 11 and with Sam Hanson in goal due to the unavailability of Scott Cooper.
They even struggled to get the 11 which they only managed due to Sports Club United’s game being postponed meaning they were able to call on the services of Luke Cowling and Ashley Robinson.
The home side ran out 4-1 winners with Robinson scoring for the visitors, but according to Town manager John Kenney it wasn’t as comfortable as the score suggests.
Kenney said: “Despite struggling to raise a side, we certainly gave them a good game. Unfortunately Rob Scott picked up an injury just before the break but played on for the whole game.”
