Footballers in the Bridlington area can sign up a new six-a-side league as they look for a way to get fit in 2014.
Leisure Leagues are starting a new competition at the astro-turf pitch at Bridlington School on Mondays.
The league gives players the chance to work off those post-Christmas pounds for around £3 each a week as well as the chance to compete for a host of top prizes.
Leisure Leagues executive manager Chris Rowntree said he was excited to see the league kick off: “We are very proud to be kicking off our first league in Bridlington and grateful for all the support we have had so far.” he said.
Teams who join the league will be given free entry and free kit in a choice of colours for a limited time.
The league is competitive, it is also designed to be fun for the whole community – and is open to everyone, both male and female, over 16.“We look forward to seeing everyone who wants to maintain their New Year’s resolutions,” added Rowntree.
The league is fully affiliated and will see qualified referees, with all equipment provided. Anyone who wants more information on the league can ring 0333 123 2340 or visit www.leisureleagues.net.
