Swimmers backed by top supporters
BRIDLINGTON Swimming Club took a comparatively young team to Scarborough for a Ridings League Gala. All the team worked hard and swam well against strong opposition.
BSC gained promotion to this league last season. There were 34 personal best times which, coming so soon after championships, was very good.
BSC did not win the Gala but if there had been a trophy for the loudest and most enthusiastic supporters they would have won with ease.
Individual success came for Tom King (Free), William Dennis (Fly, Back), Joe Harvey (Back, Breast), Grace Dennis (Fly, Back) and Yasmin Brown (Back). Coach Geoff Edmond was delighted with the effort, enthusiasm and cooperation of the swimmers. Well done. Thank you to all the helpers and supporters.
Result: 1. South Holderness Rockets, 2. Kingfishers, 3. New Earswick, 4. Bridlington.
