A handful of tickets are still available for Burlington Jackdaws’ Sportsman’s Dinner next month.
The junior football club is celebrating its 10th anniversary with an evening with former Manchester United and England winger Lee Sharpe.
He will be the guest speaker at the Blue Bell Hotel in Burton Agnes on Friday, September 11.
Jackdaws club director Chris Kirkham said:“To acquire Lee Sharpe for our fund-raising evening, which will feature an auction and some other interesting ideas is a real coup for us.
“I enjoyed enjoy watching him play in the 90s as he played in the team that won United the Premier League in 1993 and the Premier League and FA Cup double in 94 and 96.
“We hope people outside of the club can come to the event and help celebrate our evening and successes.”
Sharpe will be talking about his career, which saw him playing under Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford, before spells at Leeds United and Bradford City.
He won eight England caps and also made eighta ppearances for the national under 21 side.
The night will also feature a performance by local band Capital Eye.
A limited number of seats have become available at £30 each, which includes a three-course meal, and can be booked by calling Chris on 07890 629758.
