Bridlington Sports Club suffered a crushing 2-1 defeat to leaders Wawne United in the semi-final of the Whiteheads Fish and Chips League Cup last night.
Wawne, who are eight points clear at the top of the Humber Premier League, scored a winner with practically the last kick of the game at Pocklington, and will take on Division One side Walkington in the final.
Eric Hall netted for the Bridlington side had beaten AFC Rovers, Hessle United and Sculcoates Amateurs on the way to the last four.
