Have your say

Firstly, just to wish all the supporters a very merry Christmas and a healthy New Year and hopefully we can give them something to cheer about for the rest of the season and bring them some success.

It was a very difficult game on Saturday and Maltby have proved they can turn up some good results especially on their own pitch where it has an awful slope, having said that it is in the best condition I have seen it for a number of years.

They are a big physical side with experience running right through the spine of the team and for younger teams it can be quite intimidating. Credit to our players, especially our experienced ones who stood up once again and took responsibility and guided us through a deserved victory where we had a total of 19 shots on goal to Maltby’s four.

We showed great character coming back from 1-0 down and then from 2-2 when they had equalised 20 seconds after we had just hit the crossbar, many teams could have crumbled after that but we stood up and battled on and scored two more goals to cruise to victory.

That is six wins from our last seven games so we are in good form and there is a really good team spirit starting to form.

We have two really difficult games over the Christmas period against Tadcaster who are top of the table at the moment and are still in the Vase and have made some very good signings over the season.

They are strong, organised and play the game how it should be played so we should have two very good games to look forward to.
