REBEKAH Pratley had a early eighth birthday present last Saturday when she was picked to be the Ipswich Town mascot for their last game of the season at Leicester City.
She is a member of the Junior Blues at Ipswich, following in the footsteps of her mum Stephanie and auntie Suzanne in spite of her dad, Mark, and brother, Joe, being ardent Liverpool fans.
Rebekah had what she described as “one of the best days of her life” when she led the team out on to the pitch.
She got to have her photograph taken with all of the Ipswich players before the game and was especially excited because her favourite player, England U21 international Connor Wickham (pictured below), signed her shirt.
Rebekah is a pupil at Martongate Primary School and also plays football for the Bridlington Rangers Panthers U8 team.
