Snooker Centre 2nds progressed with a 5-3 win over Driffield JFC 3rds.
The hosts started the better and soon took the lead with a Dom Richardson strike but Driffield pushed for an equaliser and got their break when their forward pulled the ball back to the striker who tapped into an empty net.
Snooker took control of the game when Steve Laws made a run into the box to get on the end of a Richardson cross and fire past the keeper, and soon after Nico Colangelo chipped the ball through to Shaun Acton who made no mistake.
Driffield came out fighting after the break and pulled it back to 3-2 but Snooker got the next goal when Laws ran on to another Richardson cross and scored at the near post.
A fifth arrived from a Richardson free-kick, before Driffield’s keeper was sent off for dissent, but the 10 men managed to close the gap with a consolation third goal late on.
