Midfielder James Bennett has returned to Bridlington Town for his third spell with the club.
He has teamed up with manager Gary Allanson, who brought him to the club initially in 2010, having left Scarborough Athletic earlier this month.
Allanson said: “He has spoken to a few clubs at higher levels but has made a decision to come back to Bridlington Town.
“He ticks all the boxes for the type of player we want at the club and will hopefully be the missing spark we have been looking for,
“We have got him at the right time as he just wants to play football and enjoy it, this is his only motivation.
“He will train on Thursday with his new team mates and is available for Saturda’ys game in the FA Vase.
“This will put pressure on the rest of the squad and makes the squad a lot stronger in depth, but more importantly gives us that extra quality so we can start passing the ball more and do it with more of a purpose and be exciting again.”
Bennett’s brother Tom has also signed for the Seasiders, and has featured in the last two league games.
