The weather tooks its toll on the football fixture list at the weekend.
Nearly all of the junior matches were wiped out.
The only game to survive in Bridlington was Burlington Jackdaws under-eights’ game at home to Hawthorn AFC.
It produced two excellent games, with Hawthorn being a physically bigger side than any opponents Jackdaws had played before, and they used this to their advantage, however the speed and awareness of the Jackdaws saw them put up a great fight in both games.
In the second match, some great work set up Harrison Shaw for a goal and some fine saves from Sam Davis and stand-in keeper Ben Blackford kept Hawthorn at bay.
