THE atmosphere at Queensgate on Shrove Tuesday is unlikely to be as flat as a pancake as Bridlington Town and Scarborough Athletic go head-to-head for the fourth time this season.
With the Seasiders without key players due to injury, including captain Tom Fleming who is a long-term absentee, manager Gary Allanson has said his team go into the match as underdogs.
That is despite Town being six places higher than their tenants in the league table, although the previous games have seen two draws and a Boro win.
Allanson said: “If the game is anything as entertaining as the last three then the fans are in for a good evening’s entertainment.
“Paul Olsson has certainly turned things round and Scarborough have won their last five matches which takes some doing in this league.
“So they will be full of confidence and will go into the game as favourites as we have some injury problems and a very difficult game before we play them.
“Hopefully we don’t pick up any more injuries and we are able to put a decent side out to give them a game.”
Kick off is 7.45pm, admission is £6 for adults and £3 for concessions.
