Bridlington CC is one of only 16 cricket clubs in East Yorkshire to have achieved the Clubmark accreditation.

Clubmark is awarded by the ECB to cricket clubs who have demonstrated exceptionally high standards with regard to child welfare and safeguarding and a very high level of coaching ability.

The club is also assessed for how well it is managed, the standard of its facilities and its links to the local community.

Bridlington Cricket Club are working in partnership with the Yorkshire Cricket Board and Bridlington Schools Sports Partnership to promote cricket and deliver coaching to primary and secondary schools in the area.

In the summer, the club will host a series of Kwik Cricket and competitive inter-school matches at Dukes Park for boys and girls in Bridlington as part of its initiative to encourage young people to play and enjoy cricket.

The club thanked Carl Parkin, its club development officer, for his work to renew the Clubmark accreditation.
