Yorkies went into this game knowing a win would more or less guarantee them the league title and with other results going their way the title returned to Yorkies.

The game got off to flyer with many chances going begging for Yorkies but it was the ever improving Joe stenton who broke the deadlock smashing in a wonder strike from 20 yards to give the keeper no chance.

With Yorkies opting to play with the wind it was all one-way traffic and keeper Mark Purvis was virtually a spectator apart from the odd goal kick from ambitious long shots.

Danny Brown jumped highest at a corner to make it two just before the break but Yorkies should have had more.

Stirling came out in the second half with three up front to try and make up the defecit but it just played into Yorkies’ hands leaving them short in the middle of the park and it was not long before Jack Wilkinson made it three, just beating a Stirling defender to poke the ball home.

Brown then made it four, striking a low shot past keeper Mark Porritt from outside the box.

With some good football being played it was made difficult for Stirling to get the ball and they were rushed into passing the ball long. A neat ball through the defence by man of match Dale Nelthorpe sent Wilkinson clear on goal and a striker of his ability doesn’t miss chances like that and he made it five.

Stirling battled back and seized on a loose ball which was presented to them by some slack defending and made it 5 1.

It was then left to Wilkinson to finish the game off making it 6-1 and claim yet another hat-trick .

Manager’s comments: “Congratulations lads. Thanks for a great season.

“But the hard work must go on and we have a great chance of possibly winning two more trophies. And with Yorkies Extra being in two finals as well it could be an unbelievable end to the season.
