A BRIDLINGTON gym owner is embarking on a series of body building competitions that will hopefully culminate in him qualifying for the British Championships.
Joe Stephenson, from Burton Fleming, owns the Elite Muscle and Fitness gym and is currently preparing for his first amateur bodybuilding competition, the South Lakes Classic in Ulverston, Cumbria on April 13, under the guidance of former regional and national bodybuilding competitor Tony Murtagh.

Joe, 28, hopes to do well in Ulverston and will then have three to four more weeks of intensive training before his next competition in Hartlepool which should then see him at the stage which could earn him an invitation to the NABBA British trials in October.

Although he will be training hard for the Ulverston event, Joe said he is more than happy to provide advice to anyone interested in pursuing the sport.

The Elite Muscle and Fitness gym is situated on Quay Road, Bridlington and offers mixed and women only sessions throughout the week and also is available for hire for dance/fitness classes.

For more details please contact Joe on 676943.
