Bridlington Ladies first team had a mediocre winter season, finishing fith out of eight in division three of the Humberside League.

Bridlington approached this, the first game of the summer season, with some trepidation after the
previous encounter ended acrimoniously, but they started well moving into a commanding 8-1 lead by the end of the 1st quarter.

Goal shooter Abbie Hullah was on excellent form, with a succession of long range shots finding the target.

In the second quarter, Bridlington continued to dominate, with defenders Jill Roberts and Jo Todd combining well. Todd showing great timing and some important interceptions.

Cath Waines also had a great game, pressurising the opposing centre into making errors, and linking with wings Claire Lockwood and Michelle Fisk with fast and accurate passing.

Bridlington didn't falter, winning easily, and it was an impressive display by the whole team.

Player of the match: Jo Todd for her determination in getting fit and her improved play.

Team: Abbie Hullah, Liz Smith, Michelle Fisk, Cath Waines, Claire Lockwood, Jill Roberts, Jo Todd.
