Challenge Cup final
Driffield EI 1

Yorkies 0

YORKIES came into this final full of confidence, having won the Premier Division comfortably, but Driffield EI, who claimed this trophy in extra-time last season, weren’t about to give up their hold on it without a fight and set out to battle and frustrate a very good Bridlington side.

In a game of few chances the only goal was scored by Andy Stabler 10 minutes into the second period.

Yorkies still have a chance to add another trophy to their league title, and will look to make amends for this defeat when they play Bridlington Sports Club at Driffield’s Allotment Lane on Saturday, kick off 6pm.

Yorkies are sponsored by D Brown Roofing, Kemps Groundworks and the Langdon Hotel Yorkies Bar.
