Compston leads the way
Bridlington Cycling Club

With a headwind to the turn but a very fast return to the finish, BCC’s latest event the Octon 10 mile time trial provided some very fast times.

Dave Compston, pictured, set the standard with a time of 21:27 to claim fi
rst place in front of Andy Askwith, who had the satisfaction of setting a personal best in 21:41. Ride of the night came from Andy Yeomans, a relative newcomer to time trialling but he set the third fastest time in an excellent 22:04, to beat Stewart Pickard by thirteen seconds as he finished in 22:17.

Tom MacDonald continued his run of good form to finish fifth in 23:05 with Graham Lonsdale sixth in 24:56, but only fifteen seconds in front of the improving Neil Ridsdale. Junior Chris Hutchinson took eighth place in another personal best time of 25:47.
