Dukes Park Bowling Club
THE Allan Wilkinson Trophy club competition was held on Friday May 2 attracting an entry of 20 members. displaying some very good bowling throughout the day.

The two semi-final games were highly competitive resulting in some tight ends which were
appreciated by the spectators. Dennis O’Neill (owe 5) qualified for the final overcoming Ron Marshall (owe 4) 21-18. Ken Hinchliff bowled his way to the final winning 21-19 against Geoff Firth.

Two well contested games. Dennis rallied and winning the following five ends ran out a worthy winner 21-18.

Club captain Alan Bambrook thanked the steward of the competition Barbara Bambrook, the competitors, the canteen personnel, measurers, markers and supporters. Finally offering commisserations to Ken and congratulating both bowlers on a well bowled final and presenting Dennis with the trophy.
