MORE than 20 sports regularly appear in the Free Press each week – but volleyball is the sport Bridlington has forgotten
A group of teenage players want to play, but they can't find a venue or opponents.

Andy Beech, a sixth-former at Headlands School, said: "Is there a team? Because we can't seem to find one.

"I feel Bridlington should have a team, or at least a place to go and play volleyball. I play at school, and we all seem to really enjoy it, but we want more of it.

"There's volleyball at Beverley, but we can't travel there. I've chosen to follow volleyball in my AS Level but I have no place to practice.

"Something needs to be done to try and get people interested, so we can play volleyball.

"A place, a net and volleyballs, that's all we ask for."
Anyone who can help Andy and his friends can contact the Free Press sports desk on 607507, and we will pass on the details.
