Letter: Victorian pier would enhance town

A few years ago the residents of Bridlington were asked in the Free Press to give examples of what should be done to improve the town.

I had a letter published and one of the things I suggested was a Victorian-style pier running from the Spa out to sea with the marina in between the pier and the harbour wall.

Now in the 21st Century, wouldn’t it be brilliant if there was a new pier with entertainment on built on the Yorkshire coast? Piers are always popular!

This is the perfect time to really put Bridlington on the map!

What we don’t want is just a featureless stone pier. Build something to be proud of!
