I walk my dog almost every day around Hilderthorpe Primary School, always collecting her loo and litter too.
I just could not believe what I saw yesterday – so much so that I took a photo before removing the evidence.
Some kind thinking eco-friendly dog owner had left a bag and contents hanging on the school boundary railings.
Since last year, when some equally well meaning manufacturers started to print ‘Bio-degradeable’ on their bags, their has been a noticeable increase in the number of dog owners who leave their bags and contents in the hedge or simply anywhere they choose.
Perhaps they believe that they are saving the planet by contributing to the fertilising of the ground? But honestly, what can this dog owner possibly be thinking by using the railings in this way.
Would they reason perhaps that by clearly displaying the bag, they are assisting the refuse collectors to find it more quickly? It just beggars belief!
