Letter: Bridlington folk should be proud

We are constantly reminded during this period of austerity just how difficult it is for some families to make ends meet, never mind thinking about caring and sharing with others.

The people of Bridlington however seem to have put any such difficulties to one side.

The Kingfisher Cafe on West Street received an incredible number of donations for the homeless ranging from cash, clothing, general food items, turkeys, large food hampers and even wrapped Christmas gifts for our “guests”.
It is very difficult to pick the correct words to express the gratitude of the homeless people who benefit from selfless acts such as those above and “Thank You” will never sound enough.

It makes me immensely proud to say that I live in Bridlington and that I am surrounded by such caring people.
Bridlington, you should be proud of yourselves for being so generous.

Once again thank you Bridlington and well done!
