WRESTLERS have joined staff at a Bridlington store to celebrate 30 years of trading.

Pictured above are wrestlers ‘Rigamortis’ and ‘Brad Flash’ who took time out of their shows at Bridlington Spa to help Bonmarche, at the Promenades Shopping Centre, celebrate its 30th year being open for business.

Also helping the store celebrate were three people named Eileen. This was in honour of the number one hit single from the era the store opened 30 years ago, ‘Come On Eileen’, by Dexys Midnight Runners.

The celebratory event, which also featured a balloon release and live music from Tablets of Stone, raised a total of £456 for Macmillan Cancer Support, the store’s chosen charity of the year.

Quayside Cafe provided refreshments and Robson’s Butchers donated a voucher for a raffle.

Assistant manager Kath Brown said: “Everybody was a really good sport and it was all for such a good cause, as you never know when you might need Macmillan.”
