Woolly request from the RSPCA

AN animal charity needs donations of wool.

In fact volunteers who make knitted slippers for sale in Bridlington’s RSPCA shop can’t get enough of it.

Kay Harrison, treasurer of the RSPCA branch, said: “Our volunteers who make our knitted slippers are really short of wool and would welcome donations of any oddments our readers may have.

“These can be handed in at our charity shop or collected if necessary.

“Our knitted slippers are very popular and they have been sent as far away as Australia.”

Anyone with any wool should drop it in at the RSPCA shop in Quay Road, Bridlington.

Meanwhile, the branch is interested in hearing from anyone wanting to foster kittens, rabbits or other small animals.

All equipment and food is supplied,

Anyone interested should call (01262) 409080 and leave a message so a volunteer can return their call.
