A member of the public called the police in the early hours to report that a “very drunk” woman was about to get into her car and drive away, a court heard.

Holiday maker Julie Prigmore, 44, from Barnsley, was stopped by the police after almost colliding with a parked car and street furniture at Flamborough Road, Bridlington.

East Riding magistrates heard she’d been on a night out with her sister while staying in their caravan.

Prigmore, of Mitchelson Avenue, Dodworth, pleaded guilty to drink-driving and was banned from driving for 20 months, fined £220 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £22 victim surcharge.
