Woman attacked in Bridlington pub

Police are appealing for information after a woman reported being knocked unconscious in the Hilderthorpe Hotel, Bridlington.

The incident is reported to have taken place between 8pm and 9pm on Saturday September 14, in the bar on Hilderthorpe Road in Bridlington.

The disturbance is thought to have erupted when a customer, a woman in her 60s, had a drink thrown over her by another woman of around the same age.

The woman is said to have retaliated by throwing a drink back, at which point she states she was pulled to the floor and kicked about the body by two other younger people, losing consciousness briefly.

The two who became involved following the initial incident are described as being aged between 18 and 20. One is a woman, around 5ft 6ins tall with curly, brown shoulder length hair. The other is a man described as being of stocky build with short ginger hair and approximately 5ft 7ins tall.

The woman said she sustained bruising to her stomach and back but did not require hospital treatment.
