Police are appealing for witnesses to a traffic collision which resulted in a 21-year-old motorcyclist sustaining injuries.

The road traffic collision happened on Fortyfoot in Bridlington, near to the junction with Iona Road at approximately 7am on Friday January 29.

A motorcycle was being ridden from the Sewerby Heads roundabout along Fortyfoot towards the town centre when it was in collision with a white transit flatbed truck that was travelling in the same direction.

The motorcyclist, a 21-year-old man, sustained a broken leg and minor head injuries and was taken to Scarborough Hospital for treatment.

The truck driver was uninjured.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call 101 referring to log of January 29.
