A VINTAGE inspired Christmas shopping event will be held at an art gallery in aid of charity.

Gallery 49, Market Place, in Bridlington’s Old Town will hold an open day on Sunday December 9 between 11am and 4pm with proceeds going towards St Catherine’s Hospice.

An array of vintage and retro goodies alongside new work in a vintage style will be on offer, and the gallery will also make a donation for every pound spent on the day.

Jane Stockdale, fundraiser at St Catherine’s Hospice, said: “St Catherine’s provides care for its patients free of charge. We receive less than 15% of our annual running costs from the Government. We need to raise £4.5million to run all our services. Your support is vital.”

On the same date the Bridlington Dickensian Festival will be held in the Old Town, bringing a festive atmosphere to the day’s shopping experience.
