The salvage operation to bring stricken fishing trawler The Serene ashore is set to begin this afternoon.
The four man crew of The Serene were rescued by RNLI crews from Bridlington on Tuesday after the vessel beached just off south pier, as it was returning to Bridlington Harbour.
Salvage company Northern Divers are at Bridlington Harbour today, Friday April 12, and plan to use large bags of compressed air to refloat the vessel at low water.
The operation looks set to start at around 1pm, and could take all afternoon.
