After a nervous wait sixth form students across Bridlington collected their A Level results this morning.
This year, Headlands School and Community Science College can boast an 100% pass rate for this year’s A Level cohort, with 20% achieving A* or A grades and 38% getting A* to B grades.
At Bridlington School and Sports College the pass rate of students achieving A* to E grades this year was 98%, with 40% of students achieving an A* or A, 56% attaining A* to B grades and 82% getting A* to C grades.
Helen Nind, head of sixth form at Headlands, said: “Clearly our students have worked incredibly hard to achieve these fantastic results and all the staff at Headlands are very proud of their achievements.”
Sarah Pashley, head at Bridlington School, said: “We are absolutely over the moon. The results are just brilliant, and I am incredibly proud of them.”
Bridlington School student Elly Mayers, 18, of Oxford Street, was pleased with her results of an A in English Literature, A in Maths and B in Physics.
She said: “I am so happy, it is what I wished for. My mum is ecstatic!”
