A murder investigation has been launched in Bridlington after a 39-year-old man died in the early hours of this morning.
Humberside Police were called to a disturbance in Sewerby Road at 4.25am this morning (Wednesday 27 August) to find the 39-year-old suffering with a life-threatening wound.
The ambulance service were in attendance however the man died at the scene.
Four men - aged 22, 27, 37, and 47, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. Three of the men were taken into police custody while the 47-year-old was hospitalised due to injuries he received at the scene.
He is receiving treatment at Hull Royal Infirmary.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers investigating the incident are seeking to reassure local residents that the disturbance was confined to an address on Sewerby Road and there is not thought to be any risk to the wider community.
“At this stage in the investigation officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.”
Specially trained officers are supporting the victim’s family and a post mortem is due to take place later today.
Sewerby Road was closed in both directions this morning and a cordon remains in place while police enquiries continue.
