UPDATE: Bridlington cordon still in place

A police cordon is still in place on Sewerby Road this following the murder of a 39-year-old Bridlington man.

The four men who were arrested in Seaton, on suspicion of murder remain in police custody.

Police officers and an ambulance attended Sewerby Road at 4.25 am yesterday morning, to find the 39-year-old suffering with a life-threatening wound who was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination was due to take place yesterday but Humberside Police have yet to release any more information.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers investigating the incident are seeking to reassure local residents that the disturbance was confined to an address on Sewerby Road and there is not thought to be any risk to the wider community.”

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or heard the disturbance on Sewerby Road overnight and into this morning to contact the police on the non-emergency telephone number 101, quoting log 63 27/08/2014.
