TWO people have been airlifted to Hull Royal Infirmary following a two vehicle collision on the A165.
The crash, which involved a blue Nissan Note and grey VW Golf, happened at what is known locally as Black Cottages at the Grindale/Bempton crossroads at around 12.30pm on Tuesday (September 4).
The rear seat passengers in the Nissan, both women from the Pocklington area, sustained head injuries. An 81-year-old woman sustained the most serious injuries including numerous fractures and is said to be in a serious condition.
The second woman, aged 54, also sustained a broken right shoulder. Both were taken by air ambulance to HRI for treatment.
