THREE casualties were taken to hospital after a serious road traffic collision in Carnaby on Tuesday.
The ambulance service, police and fire crews all attended the scene after three vehicles were involved in an accident in Bridlington Bay Road at the Wilsthorpe roundabout near Carnaby, at around 5.10pm.
Three rapid response ambulances were sent to the incident at 5.10pm, and treated three casualties at the scene, who were suffering with back and neck injuries.
Two of the injuried people were taken to Scarborough Hospital, while the third was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary.
Police have confirmed that a black Ford Fiesta, a Seat Ibiza and a Ford Transit van were involved in the accident.
The road was closed for around an hour and a half while police cleared the scene, and a fire crew from Bridlington checked vehicles for petrol leaks.
