BREAKING NEWS: Life threatening injuries in Flamborough Road crash

A 24-year-old Bridlington man has received ‘life threatening injuries’ after a collision on Flamborough Road which saw the car come to rest in a ravine.

The accident which occurred near the entrance to Danes Dyke, involved a single blue Vauxhall Astra and happened at around 2am this morning.

The man is currently receiving treatment for serious injuries at Hull Royal Infirmary, while his 27-year-old passenger, also from Bridlington, has been released from Scarborough hospital after sustaining minor injuries.

The road was closed until 8.13am so the car could be recovered from the ravine.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the car travelling in the area prior to it leaving the road is asked to contact PC Nick Beal at Humberside Police on the non emergency number 101 referring to log 33 or 23 October 2014.
